It was probably one of our best weekends away. The accommodation is excellent and well equipped and everything is in working order. We also had no load shedding at all which is a big plus in these days.
Our stay at Big Oak Cottages was right underneath the big oak. The tree is majestic, and the gardens are wonderful too. The room was beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, with small treats and surprises at each turn. All in all, it was a marvellous place to stay and will return when we visit Dullstroom again.

The privacy of unit 4 was the standout aspect for me as well as the nice large porch and separate outside boma. Beautiful finish with huge shower and nice bathroom. Very quiet area but nice walking distance from the town. Would definitely want to stay at DV again and can recommend with confidence.
Kitchen could be a little better equipped, for example a drying rack in the kitchen. Otherwise a nice place to stay and can be recommended.

Incredibly beautiful and central. We could walk to everything in town. Big Oak Cottages is also very safe and quiet (there are only 4 cottages on the massive lot). The cottage itself is sparkling clean with a comfortable bed, fireplace and gorgeous bathroom. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Our stay at Big Oak Dullstroom was the best we have ever had. Neat, spacious, very good towels and bedding, decent pillows and good furniture. Very spacious shower. Peaceful quiet safe environment and very private. We got a lovely bottle of wine from the owner, Matthew, for our wedding anniversary. No keys, just remember gate and room codes. Thank you very much. We struggled for a while to find a place we liked. Time was running out and so went with the best option available. I mentioned that the pictures didn't look realistic and ten to one was just a design. I was very skeptical about the place. We are in Dullstroom just after 19:00 on Friday evening, our reception at Big Oak Cottages was personal and pleasant! The unit we lived in knocked us both out of the park. The place is truly stunning, clean, well looked after, new. I have already recommended it to all our friends and family. Big Oak Cottages we will see you again for sure. Believe me when I say that you will definitely get more value than you should for the money you spent.
